What is Archery Tag?
Archery Tag is a mix of archery, dodgeball, and paintball.... but without the pain! Players take aim at each other with non lethal arrows. Points are awarded by “striking” your opponent or “catching” your opponent’s arrow. Unlike dodgeball, players stay in the field of play even if they are hit. It can be played indoors or outdoors. It's a high-action, fast-paced game perfect for anyone looking for a unique and thrilling experience!
Equipment
Archery Tag uses non lethal foam tipped arrows and 20 lb. longbows, as well as antimicrobial foam helmets to ensure it is safe and fun for all!
The Field
Extreme Archery by can be played almost anywhere. The field is divided into two 22' x 30‘ Action Zones, with a 18' x 30' Neutral Zone located at center field. The center field Neutral Zone separates the two sides for a total field length of 62' from end line to end line.
Players are “live” only when in their Action Zone. They can only shoot or be shot when in their Action Zone (behind their Attack Line). Players are not allowed to shoot from the Neutral Zone and players cannot shoot at players who are in the Neutral Zone. Players in the Neutral Zone are only permitted to retrieve arrows and return immediately to their Action Zone. Players may not stall in the Neutral Zone and must return to their Action Zone within 10 seconds before a warning will be issued by the referee. A second infraction will result in a 2 point penalty at the discretion of the referee. 2 point penalties may be assessed for crossing over the opposing team’s Attack Line, stalling, shooting someone in the Neutral Zone, or being out of bounds.
